He has great stats, he was a very skilled player, he holds quite a few records, he has a perfect finals record, he has it all. Michael Jordan is the complete package. When you think of other all time greats, such as Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Lebron, Kareem, etc, they are all great players but they don’t have as complete of a resume as MJ does. Bill Russell has 11 rings and he was a great defensive player, but he wasn’t a great scorer and his stats aren’t nearly as good as MJ’s. Wilt was a great player stat wise but he only has 2 championships and has a losing finals record. Lebron is also a great player stat wise and he has great longevity, but he also has a losing finals record. Kareem has great stats, great longevity, and great accolades, but Kareem only has 2 finals MVPs and he wasn’t the leader of his championship wins. When you look at Michael Jordan’s resume, he is pretty much as close to perfect as a player can get, and he doesn’t really have any negatives on his resume. Michael Jordan is essentially all of these players combined. He has great stats, he has great individual accolades, he holds quite a few records, he was a 6 time champion and 6 time finals MVP, he’s simply the most decorated player in NBA history.
